Discover how Strathpine Aged Care celebrated community spirit throughout May 2025 with heartwarming events, intergenerational connections, and unforgettable moments.
May has been an exciting celebration of community spirit at Strathpine Aged Care. May has certainly provided many enjoyable and inspirational events, memorable experiences, and connections with our community.
One of the highlights was a scenic bus outing to Redcliffe Peninsula. We had the opportunity to soak up some sunshine and enjoy some peaceful views. At the outing we had a special stop at Burpengary Manor Aged Care to meet with their amazing garden club for a cuppa, some good conversation, and had the pleasure of receiving some gifts of succulents. The experience was of genuine value to support more friendships between aged care facilities, enjoying our shared interests, and the community aspect of the visit.
Our favourite part was returning back to Strathpine and the joyous grand opening of our Candy Lane Lolly Shop. The efforts of to our helping hands ensured we could deliver a fun pop-up event that was filled with humour, quality control lolly tasting, and a formal moment to cut the ribbon by Ian, the very first resident of Normanby.
The way our residents rallied around to initiate an idea of a fashion show to celebrate Mother’s Day was phenomenal. Their efforts culminated with a spectacular Fun Fashion Show where our lovely models paraded down the catwalk in some fashionable outfits from Glenda's Mobile Shopping and other sources, while guests enjoyed a goodie bag!
