July highlights at Strathpine Aged Care

Discover the July highlights at Strathpine Aged Care, including NAIDOC Week baking, Bastille Day and Brazilian Carnival celebrations, music therapy, outings, and a special farewell to our much-loved carer, Robyn.

We commenced the month with a heartfelt farewell to our much loved carer, Robyn, wishing her all the best in her new role. Residents enjoyed Thursday bus trips to stunning local spots, from Woody Point to Pine Rivers Bowls Club, often ending with ice cream treats.

NAIDOC Week celebrations saw residents baking lemon myrtle cookies and damper, paired with meaningful artwork. Birthdays were in abundance, with special moments for Doug and Athol. Our Spirit of Strathpine Cruise took us from Bastille Day in France to Brazilian Carnival week, complete with themed concerts, bingo, and cultural activities.

We also enjoyed music therapy sessions, buffet breakfasts, and Morning Melodies at The Sands Social. To top it off, staff and residents wore pyjamas to raise funds for foster children.
